4 Days

Embark on a 4-day Uganda adventure combining thrilling gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a wildlife boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. Traverse lush rainforests, spot Uganda’s iconic wildlife, and immerse yourself in unforgettable encounters with gorillas and chimpanzees. This safari offers a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and cultural experiences for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, accompanied by your experienced guide.

As you leave the city behind, you'll traverse through Uganda's scenic countryside, passing by rural villages, lush farmlands, and rolling hills.

One of the highlights of the day is crossing the Equator, where you'll have the opportunity to stop and take photos at this iconic geographical landmark.

Along the way, you'll also have the chance to stop for lunch at a local restaurant and stretch your legs.

After several hours of driving, you'll arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, renowned for its dense rainforest and population of endangered mountain gorillas.

Check into your chosen accommodation near the park and spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the tranquil surroundings.

Rise early and enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by your guide.

During the briefing, you'll receive important information about gorilla trekking rules and regulations, as well as an overview of what to expect during the trek.

Following the briefing, you'll be divided into small groups and assigned a gorilla family to trek.

Embark on a thrilling trek through the dense rainforest, led by experienced guides and trackers who will help navigate the rugged terrain and locate the gorillas.

The duration and difficulty of the trek can vary depending on the location of the gorilla family, but the experience of encountering these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable.

Spend an hour observing the gorillas as they go about their daily activities, from feeding and grooming to playing and interacting with each other.

After the trek, return to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest and to reflect on the incredible experience.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi and embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, known as the "Primate Capital of the World" for its diverse population of primates.

En route, you'll pass through Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's most popular savanna park, renowned for its wildlife diversity.

Upon reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George.

The boat trip offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, with chances to see hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, elephants, and a variety of bird species along the banks of the channel.

After the boat trip, continue your journey to Kibale National Park and check into your chosen accommodation near the park.

Spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the tranquil surroundings, preparing for the next day's chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Begin the day with an early morning breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing on chimpanzee trekking.

With experienced guides leading the way, embark on a chimpanzee trek through the lush forest of Kibale National Park in search of habituated chimpanzee groups.

As you trek through the forest, listen for the distinctive calls of the chimpanzees and follow their movements through the trees.

Once you encounter the chimpanzees, spend time observing their behavior and interactions, gaining insights into their social structure and ecology.

After the trek, return to your accommodation for lunch before beginning the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.

Depending on your departure arrangements, you may opt to be dropped off at your hotel or directly at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
